I am thrilled by the review of UNTAMED that just appeared in The Washington Post. It was WaPo that published Carol’s powerful, persuasive Cumberland Island editorial over thirty years ago. Her editorial ended up on the president’s desk and eventually led to a federally designated wilderness area for Cumberland Island. It’s exciting that The Washington Post is now highlighting a book about Carol. Perhaps her story will lead to another seismic shift in the management of Cumberland Island.
